How To Play Ultimate

The object of Ultimate Frisbee is to catch the frisbee in the opponents' endzone. This is done by passing the disc from player to player. A game is comprised of seven players on a side. Advancing the frisbee by holding it and moving is not allowed. Once a player catches the frisbee, he/she must stop and throw it again (three steps of "slowing down" are allowed). Pivoting on one foot is allowed. Contact is not allowed. The disc may be thrown in any direction, but may not be handed to a teammate. A goal is scored when a teammate catches the disc in the opponents' endzone. The team that last scored starts off the point by pulling (kicking off) from their endzone to their opponents, who are lined up in the other endzone. Defense begins the second the offense has thrown an incomplete or an interception, there is no stoppage of play.

Requirements

Legs that can run and arms that can throw/catch are optional. A friendly attitude is cool, too. You don't even have to be chipper or smiley or anything. Really. Since there are no referees the game is played using respectful competition and SPIRIT.(see below)

What to Expect
Lots of fun, quite a bit of sweat. You'll have the chance to learn a sport that will impress girls/guys (?) on the beach. We don't bite.
