Cuff

disc.
Force, Forcing (Left, Right)
Defensive indication as to which way the offensive player will most likely
throw. By shifting his/her concentration to a certain area or side of the
offensive player, a defensive player may "force" his opponent to throw a
certain direction.
Frisbee, 'B, (Flying) Disc
Circular piece of plastic with a rim, endowed with special anti-gravity
properties that make it the choice for many exciting aerobic activities.
"Go To!"
Command meaning, "Run to the friggin' disc!"
Handler
A player designated to throw the disc more often than the other players.
Mac
A term used in freestyle frisbee to indicate a touch of the disc, a mac can
alter the direction of the flight of the disc.
Pull, Pulling
The act of throwing the disc to the opposing team at the start of a game or
after scoring a point. Similar to "kicking off" in other sports.
Spirit of the Game
"Ultimate has traditionally relied upon a spirit
of sportsmanship which places responsibility for fair play on the players
themselves. Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of
the bond of mutual respect between players, adherence to the agreed-upon rules
of the game, or the basic joy of play. Protection of these vital elements serves
to eliminate adverse conduct from the Ultimate field. Such actions as taunting
of opposing players, dangerous aggression, intentional fouling, or other
"win-at-all-costs" behavior are contrary to the spirit of the game and must be
avoided by all players." (1999 9th Edition)
Stack, Stacking, "Stack Up!"
Stacking is an offensive tactic used to thwart defensive coverage. Players
without the disc on the offense line up before the person with the disc and
then alternatingly break away in different directions to become available for
their teammate's throw.
